Job Description About the role Our Acute Care Unit is a 22 bed unit which provides care to patients with complex surgical and medical requirements. It is also our referral unit for those patients being transferred out of our ICU department. The highly skilled Registered Nurses within the Acute Care Unit work cohesively along with various clinical services to provide positive outcomes for patients and their families in a safe and caring environment. Fixed Term, part time position (Parental Leave) 48 hours per fortnight until January 2025 is available to a Registered Nurse ideally with a minimum of 12 months relevant experience, preferably in acute or high dependency units. Accommodation and relocation assistance to support with your move to our vibrant seaside regional city of Warrnambool is available and will be considered on an individual basis. Warrnambool is a prime location in the South West of Victoria and is only a short drive to shops and neighbouring country towns and attractions, with little to no traffic making for an easy commute to work. What you bring The successful applicant will hold current registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse and have 6 months recent and relevant acute medical or surgical experience. As a Registered Nurse you will demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and you will provide best practice, patient centred care in a safe and caring environment. Excellent management and communication skills are essential and evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded.
