Our client is a high-profile Federal government department which manages some of Australia’s key assets through regulation and partnership. Due to recent structural changes within the department a fantastic new opportunity has become available for a high calibre Assistant Director to lead the conduct function within the Integrity Branch.

Responsibilities include :

  • Undertaking complex investigations into suspected breaches of the APS Code of Conduct;
  • Managing preliminary inquiries;
  • Primary review of employment decisions;
  • Providing expert advice to decision makers and delegates in support of these processes.
  • Leading and build the capability of the small team of APS6 officers
  • Providing operational support to investigators
  • Various reporting functions.
  • experience in undertaking Code of Conduct Investigations in line with APS obligations for determining breaches of the APS Code of Conduct and the imposition of sanctions.
  • experience in conducting preliminary inquiries into alleged misconduct.
  • experience building and managing stakeholder engagement and contributing to a broader integrity agenda.

Relevant qualifications and / or a professional certification in investigations or law would be highly regarded.
