We are looking to fill a full time Winemaker position at our Yenda Winery. The ideal addition to our winemaking team will be a passionate and driven individual with three to five years of large winery experience.Responsibilities will include; Assist in planning of vintage intakeEnsure wine quality is maintained at all timesTrial work to improve quality and cost reductionDevelop new wine styles in line with customers’ expectationsPublic Relations/Wine TastingsMonitor safety standards and ensure cellar operations are conducted in accordance with safety requirements The ideal candidate will have: Tertiary or equivalent degree in Winemaking or OenologyDemonstrated large winery experience over three to five years specialising in large scales wineries.A team player with effective leadership and interpersonal skills.The ability to work independently, managing your own workload and priorities.Show evidence of excellent supervision, organising and planning skills including use of computer systems.Demonstrate good presentation and effective communication skills.A practical understanding of running a large winery on a profitable basis. If successful you will be flexible, hands on and enthusiastic to work in all areas of the Winery, with a focus on quality always.
