Our Opportunity Digital Storyteller In this role you’ll have the chance to build truly innovative digital experiences for audiences around the world. You’ll leverage your skills in copywriting, media content, and web tech to showcase our planet’s race to Real Zero. You’ll need to love meeting new people and translating (sometimes complex) subject matter into engaging marketing copy. You’ll excel at turning concepts into published works in a matter of hours. You’ll know the value of repurposing existing digital assets to accelerate content development. You’ll know your way around the latest content management systems and have a knack for pairing words and visuals in a way that breaks industry norms. This job ad isn’t corporate, and neither is the content you’ll be creating. Your skill in selecting the right pairings will draw readers in and keep them engaged. You won’t need to code, but hopefully you’ll know your way around some basic HTML and CSS, enough to extend your impact beyond what the system allows (and spot when something is wrong). Working out of our Perth office, you’ll join a global team working in a very global sense. Hybrid options might be supported for the human, but our newest teammate will need to drink from the firehose for the first few months at least as we get up to speed. The role will have periods of pressure, but you will be surrounded by great people. 6-12 month initial contract.  Full time.  Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities Working within the Brand and Digital team, your role is to support and contribute to the delivery of Fortescue’s digital strategy through: identifying and creating content for Fortescue’s digital channels that follows brand guidelines and is relevant to our audience. innovative website experiences and pages using modern content management systems and content authoring tools. and analysing complex subject matter, and producing easy to understand, impactful marketing copy. requests from across the business to modify and create website content. the wider Communications team with maintaining website content. website analytics and user experience data to recommend improvements and optimisations. all website content is accurate, up to date and meets usability and accessibility standards. toward the continual improvement and development of Fortescue’s digital assets, including web development sprints and content audits. photography and video production requests to create high-quality digital content for both internal and external publication. 3-5 years’ experience preferred in communications, journalism, marketing, PR or similar.
