Position Outline Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the role of Contracts Manager is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership in a role and use their skills and experience to make a positive impact within the organisation. Primary Purpose Manages low to medium risk contracts and develops procurement and contract documentation. Actively monitors contract performance and risks and identifies appropriate strategies to achieve contract outcomes. Consults with a range of stakeholders and maintains positive and effective working relationships. Developing, implementing, and reviewing plans, processes and policies that increase safety. Controlling and mitigating workplace hazards and risks. Ensuring operational compliance with relevant health and safety acts and legislation. Advocating for health and safety in organisational policy. Response for the management of environmental management for CSCC, including developing and then measuring the success of schemes for waste management, renewable energy, recycling, and pollution reduction and prevention, and social sustainability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Preparing, negotiating, and recording business contracts on behalf of CSCC. Researching a contract's terms, alerting parties to renewals or extensions and tracking all communications between CSCC and various accounts. Overseeing all aspects of CSCC's contract negotiations, obligations, and implementation. Negotiating contracts, advising management, and supervising the implementation of contracts for optimal efficiency. Preparing CSCC tenders and commercial bids to assist in the acquisition of new business. Creating and presenting proposals for projects in how they relate to the business at CSCC. Developing, implementing, and reviewing plans, processes, and policies that increase safety. Monitoring safety inspections and observations. Investigating accidents, preparing, and maintaining required reports. Identifying countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence. Providing new hire orientation outlining CSCC's high expectations regarding safety rules and regulations. Develops and measures the success of schemes for waste management, renewable energy, recycling, and pollution reduction and prevention and social sustainability. Ensures that industrial operations follow local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Educates industrial workers on environmental programs and policies. Establishes and enforces environmental policies and procedures. Develops and implements strategies for minimizing environmental impacts from new construction projects or changes in current operations. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Proven working experience in contract management, procurement, OHS and environment services. Experience in working within a regulated environment. Excellent knowledge of management methods and techniques pertaining to delivering a high level of safety. Working knowledge of OHS policies and procedures. Awareness of industry's latest technology trends and applications. Ability to think strategically and lead innovations Strong member-facing and communication skills. Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills. Excellent customer service orientation skills, grooming and presentation. Effective communication and negotiation skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Exceptional articulation and interpersonal skills. Effective team player.
