About Us LPC Trading is family-owned business with a poultry farm located in Bendick Murrell, which is between Young and Cowra. Position Overview As a Poultry Farm Hand, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our farm. Your responsibilities will include caring for laying hens, ensuring a clean and healthy environment, and actively participating in the egg production process. Key Responsibilities - Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of laying hens. - Collecting, cleaning, and packaging eggs according to quality standards. - Conducting routine inspections to identify and address any issues with equipment or facilities. - Assisting in the maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment. - Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient farm operations. - Adhering to biosecurity measures to maintain a disease-free environment. About you - Must not have access to any type of bird or pig in their own residence for quarantine purposes and is a condition of employment. - Previous experience in poultry farming or a related field is a plus but not required if you are willing to learn. - Individuals should be physically fit and able to perform tasks such as walking for extended periods, lifting and bending. - Many tasks require collaboration with other team-members and working unsupervised. The ability to work as a team and individual is valuable. - You will have the ability to adapt to various farm responsibilities such as cleaning, maintenance and record keeping. - The nature of farm work often involves routines and consistency. A strong work ethic is essential for the well-being of the animals and success of the farm.
