This is a permanent position, working Monday through to FridayAbout the Role:We are seeking a Electrical Engineer at our Portland based smelter. In this challenging role, you will have the opportunity seek out solutions to complex problems maximising the performance of our equipment, drive down costs and improve environmental, health and safety performance.As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to analyse and provide data and technical support to our smelting operations, ensuring that life cycle costs and performance are optimised contributing to our overall site objectives. Acting as a single point of accountability for engineering support in day to day operations, you will also lead capital expenditure projects within your work area.Through your knowledge and experience, you will identify long term opportunities for improvement with a focus on applying reliability engineering principles and standards to equipment and capital.Other key duties include;Provide troubleshooting assistance on all aspects of control systemsContributes to production efficiency by facilitating training in existing and new Control systems.Build and maintain effective networks within the smelter, to implement standard methodology control system technologies.Use highly developed analytical skills and knowledge to understand multi subject area problems and provide detailed mentorship to process problems and project design.Work closely with project teams to design and implement projects.
