About our role : At Simplot Australia we use visual storytelling to engage, inform, and inspire. Based at our head office in Melbourne and reporting to the Creative Lead, we have an exciting opportunity for an Artworker to join our Marketing team.

The Artworker will take direction from the senior designers, and briefs from internal clients, to create deliverables for both print and electronic media. This role is also perfect for graphic designers who loves the artwork creation side of the job.

What you will do : The role requires design software proficiency and strong collaboration skills. The Artworker is the Master of Software efficiency and files organisation and optimisation, so you know how to create bulk assets using actions and templates instead of spending hours manually. The artworker knows the correct assets, specs and brand guidelines off the top of their head while producing files that are clean. They know when to use InDesign vs Photoshop vs Illustrator instead of exclusively using one software only.

Your role will include but not be limited to.

  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, from publication, point of sale, branding, exhibition, packaging, social and digital assets, internal collaterals, and more
  • Be responsible for the creation and delivery of accurate work to meet the brief and the needs of our customers
  • Retouch, composite, and mock up to a high level of finish
  • Ensure consistency with the overall campaign creative and brand guideline distinctive brand assets
  • Liaise with stakeholders, ensuring artwork meets organisational standards and needs
  • Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with cross functional teams, meeting deadlines and budget constraints
  • Show exemplary attention to detail and files organisation
  • Support the Creative Lead in the smooth running of the Creative Team

About you : To be successful you will have the ability to think creatively and bring innovative solutions to marketing challenges, experience with the following will be advantageous:

  • 3+ years in professional graphic design with focus on artworking
  • High-level technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat - Premiere and Aftereffect is desirable.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
