The Role The Melbourne office manages external service providers who deliver Employment programs throughout metropolitan Melbourne and Gippsland as well as Skills and Apprenticeship programs across Victoria.

Reporting to an Assistant Director (EL1) team leader, State Network Delivery Officers (APS5) work within a supportive team environment with flexible working conditions. In some roles, engagement with external stakeholders occurs regularly, with site visits to provider premises around greater Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Duties and Responsibilities Multiple roles may be available and depending on the position responsibilities could include:

  • Managing and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to collaboratively achieve the department's and the Government’s policy measures.
  • Managing Australian Government contracts with service providers who deliver employment or skills services to the Victorian community.
  • Researching and interpreting program guidelines and policies to provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and our contracted providers.
  • Monitoring and assessing provider performance and compliance through data analysis, file monitoring and site visits.
  • Drafting communications and briefs for managers, delegates and visiting executive.
  • Actively participating in planning, project management, decision-making and solution brokering.
  • Processing payments and employer incentives, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Administrative assistance through mailbox management, research and communication with internal and external stakeholders promptly and professionally.
