We are looking for an experienced HSE Superintendent to embed positive safety behaviours and build HSE awareness and capability within our Major Projects team. This role operates with high autonomy partnering closely with the Operations Managers and will see your skill set drive safety management, compliance, training and upskilling staff, auditing, communications, safety behaviour and risk management. This role is responsible for supporting our projects division nationwide and you will be required to travel and live away from home as needed. You will; Maintain and continually improve the company's projects Safety Management System including training, emergency response and crisis management systems. Provide direct leadership on safety matters to the project team, clients, subcontractors and other key stakeholders. Plan and participate in company audits and inspections. Advise on HSE matters on a proactive basis following meetings and discussions. Prepare data and report on safety performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Facilitate incident investigations to ICAM level. Identifying safety and general training needs and providing appropriate solutions. Plan, organise and undertake HSE and general training as required. Prepare and conduct toolbox and safety committee meetings. Utilise and maintain databases and spreadsheets as required. Support the companies Injury Management program. Why us? Tertiary level qualifications in Health & Safety (minimum Diploma). ICAM (or similar) lead Investigator (Preferred). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Preferred). Drug and Alcohol Testing (Desirable). Unrestricted drivers licence Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and WHS databases. Strong proactive communicator with individuals and teams. Substantial understanding and working knowledge of legislation and industry standards Willingness to travel Apply now!
