About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our Air Traffic Control (ATC) Operation Maintenance (OM) team based at HMAS Albatross ATC Nowra, NSW. As an ATCOM Technical Officer you will be part of a small team responsible for servicing and maintaining ATC Systems. e.g. Radios, Navigational Aids, RADAR Systems, Data Processing/Display, Data distribution and other ATC related Ancillary systems. Key responsibilities include: * Conducting scheduled Preventative and Corrective Maintenance on all ATC Systems at HMAS Albatross. * Fault finding and diagnosis utilising a variety of modern specialised test equipment. * Review and maintain technical documentation and processes. * Maintenance data entry including maintenance planning and forecasting as appropriate. * Comply with Defence maintenance reporting requirements through the authorised reporting web portal to comply with AMO requirements. About YOU * Minimum Certificate III in Electronics/Communications. * Extensive Electronics technical experience, electronics fault finding deep level diagnosis, repair, overhaul and maintenance of complex electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and/or similar. * Radar frequency and RF Communication experience. * Well organised, self-starting, highly motivated and the ability to work effectively autonomously, in a team environment and with a variety of stakeholders. * Have the ability to undertake routine activities without immediate supervision on occasion. * Be able to provide technical input to the team and be team orientated. * Have high levels of verbal and written communication. * A current defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain * A background in Defence aviation is desirable We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidate hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
