About the role :Due to an internal transfer, we are seeking a Chaplain who will provide quality person-centred Chaplaincy/ Pastoral Care that meets the needs of the community, staff and volunteers and is consistent with BaptistCare’s Purpose and Values. This is a permanent part time role (60.8 hours per fortnight) based in Newcastle (working across Wallsend and Windale).Baptist Care empowers staff by offering flexible work hours, a supportive team, training opportunities and financial benefits including salary packaging and stability while working for an industry leading provider.The successful applicant will have: Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy /pastoral care OR tertiary theological qualifications with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy / pastoral care specific training within the first 12 months of employment.Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heartActive involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian ChurchChaplaincy or pastoral care experienceExperience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settingsCurrent ‘Working with Children Check’Willingness to undergo a police check About Us:BaptistCare is a leading for-purpose Christian-based care organisation that supports thousands of people across more than 100 locations in NSW, ACT and WA.
