Full time, fixed-term contract until 1st May 2026 for a Senior Advisor, Strategy Design to deliver major strategic initiatives of the University Seeking your exceptional insight, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills Offering a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University’s Strategy Portfolio is looking for a Senior Advisor, Strategy Design to deliver strategic advice, consultation and guidance through the development and design of strategy. This role supports the Director, Strategic Planning, Vice-Principal (Strategy) in high quality stakeholder engagement for the design, evaluation and implementation of university strategic plans, including performance monitoring and review. In this role you will partner with senior stakeholders across portfolios, faculties and other communities to deliver major strategic initiatives of the University. Your key responsibilities will be to: consult, advise and support members of University leadership to design new strategic plans through robust and consistent strategic planning processes provide expert advice to key stakeholders on planning processes and tools, while reporting on performance of current and new strategic projects develop and facilitate tailored and purposeful stakeholder engagement plans in consultation with senior clients designed to collect optimal input to the strategic planning process lead and coordinate development of implementation roadmaps and financial companions to strategic plans including identification of new projects, while continually improving strategic planning processes. About you excellent strategic and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and integrate complex data while providing strategic direction and analysis to senior management experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large complex projects within a multi-faceted organisation extensive experience in stakeholder engagement with engagement management experience such as required for workshops, town halls, focus groups, round tables and industry events including preparing event materials, invitations, room setup, managing catering and post event analysis financial literacy, understanding of financial feasibility analysis, experience managing budgets strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills together with effective leadership skills. Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
