For our partners our work is crucial to maintaining the safety and reliability of their electricity and gas transmission and distribution assets.  About the role The role of Plant Operator is to assist with the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical networks by safely and effectively operating associated plant and equipment. Assistance specifically involves utilising equipment to aid in the boring of holes and the lifting of power poles into position. Key Responsibilities include  Completing risk assessments/job safety analysis prior to commencing work at each site Ensuring all incidents are reported to Supervisor/Team Leader Completing time sheets, reports and job control worksheets Completion of work tasks within required time frames set by Jemena to meet customer requirements On site customer management Ensuring Jemena policies, procedures and work instructions are adhered to for all projects About You  The successful applicant will have experience working in a similar role within the construction industry and have the following: Valid HR Drivers Licence – with Heavy Endorsements Current Work Safe Licence To Perform High Risk Work with C2 Endorsement.   Current Work Safe Licence To Perform High Risk Work with a DG and IR Endorsement Work Safely in the electrical environment, knowledge and understanding of electrical legislation, codes and standards of practice. VESI First Aid / CPR; other mandatory VESI training requirements.
