The Opportunity

The Data & Insights team at Ramsay Health Care are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Data Analyst to join our Data & Insights, Data Lab team on a full-time basis!

The Data Analyst is a key role within the organisation, responsible for supporting a team in delivering data-driven solutions and insights to support various operational or strategic decision-makers.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and learn new domain knowledge, effectively mapping it to relevant business processes
  • Work closely with other departments to develop data products that deliver insights and address key business needs
  • Collect, analyse, interpret and provide insights from large, complex data sets
  • Utilise strong understanding of statistical techniques and software tools
  • Communicate effectively to various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Be inquisitive - delve into the problem, ask the right questions and think creatively to problem-solve efficiently

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive and self-driven
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, business, statistics, computer science, information technology or equivalent
  • Proven track record in producing descriptive and diagnostic analytics
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising SQL, Excel, VBA and Python or R
  • Basic understanding of data science, developing Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning models, choosing algorithms, training models, evaluating models, deploying models and generating predictions using models
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Highly regarded, though not essential

  • Experience with healthcare data and/or working in a healthcare organisation
  • Familiarity with project management
