Business Analyst - Fraud Program

The opportunity Our client is an Australian Federal Government organisation, who are currently looking for a EL1 Business Analyst to join their team on a long-term contract. You will be responsible for helping define business problems via in-depth investigation and gathering of technical and non-technical information with specific focus on the Fraud domain. This is a key role to assist in the delivery of diverse and varied program of work, centered around a large-scale fraud investigation capability uplift.12-month initial contract plus 12-month extension Richmond based, with 3 days in office min + WFH Must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to gain Baseline Security Clearance. The role Duties will include: Support the delivery in the development of a business case across client's fraud program. Work closely with program, business, and technical stakeholders to effectively discover, define, validate, prioritise, and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into solution outcomes which align with the client's architectural principles and strategies. Working with Agile delivery practices including backlog creation / refinement and associated requirements gathering, data discovery and analysis. Facilitate workshops and perform business analysis activities including business process modelling, business and solution requirements lifecycle management, and data modelling. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and features Suggest changes/enhancements to Senior Management using analytics to support your recommendations and actively participate in the implementation of approved changes Work with various business units to support and maintain new and existing customer data and system integrations. About you To be consider for this opportunity you will need as follow Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience working in a similar role supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change, with a proven ability to use initiative and self-drive to meet demanding deadlines. Proven experience, of greater than 3 years, in a senior role relating to fraud investigations, case management and data mining including delivery of new services and ongoing feature elaboration (only BA's with this experience will be shortlisted). Experience with Cloud environments Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (only BA's with this experience will be shortlisted). Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively liaise and keep stakeholders informed and engaged, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, cultivating productive working relationships across multiple projects and business areas. Demonstrated experience in elicitation of business requirements and acceptance criteria using varying techniques including workshops. Be outcome focus, with an ability to effectively challenge while retaining a customer focus Self-managing, adaptable and quick to learn Ability to work well with dynamic technical teams, business stakeholders and 3rd party providersPlease note that this role is only open to Australian citizens, and you must be eligible to obtain a security clearance. An existing security clearance will be highly desirable.
