About the Role: An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse within the Intensive Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse you will provide nursing services in health service settings. In this role you will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice and consolidate knowledge and skills, developing in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Nurse you will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others. As a Clinical Nurse you will provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. A minimum of 3 years ICU experience is essential. To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or be eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. A post graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (Intensive Care Nursing) is highly desirable.  The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time.
