Due to strong growth, and relocating to larger premises, Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist, to join their team, in their new headquarters in North Brisbane, QLD (roughly 1hr (40kms) north of Brisbane City).  The Role Reporting to management, the Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the process of sourcing products from our suppliers based on our client's current sales and operations planning processes. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for various aspects of the larger process, contributing to the overall efficient daily operations of our client's procurement and initiatives. The role will be responsible for (but not limited to): Driving and implementing overall procurement policy and forecasting process within business rules Monitoring market trends, supplier spending and opportunities to develop and implement category strategies for continuous improvement of the business Ensuring total stock on hand and stock turns are managed, maintained, and resolving any issues as they arise Managing weekly inventory review sessions to ensure stock in the warehouse is maintained within set parameters Resolving Procurement Management issues that are escalated Holding regular meetings with suppliers around KPI’s, stock levels, production issues, backlogs, and supplier stock and turns updates Maintain and develop excellent relationships with existing and new suppliers For You As the Procurement Officer, you must be able to demonstrate sound examples where you have successfully run all aspects of a procurement cycle end-to-end. You will also possess: Ability to work well under pressure, in a role that is fast-paced and involves multiple changing tasks and priorities Extensive experience with Supply Chain Management practices Exceptional verbal and written communication across all mediums Strong program and audit management experience Be a bright, driven, looking to build your career and contribute to a fun, high performing and supportive team Exposure to contract or category management an advantage Demonstrated ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders Be a self-starter with an innately curious and entrepreneurial nature Excellent analytical capability with the ability to administer efficient Procurement technologies   Applicants must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or have an appropriate Australian work visa or work entitlement.
