Our client is a resource recovery centre based in Wingfield that accepts liquid waste from contractors and the public. We are currently seeking a HC Driver to join the team, this position is a casual with an opportunity for permanency for the right candidate. Training will be provided, there is room for growth within the company, management is very supportive of this. What’s in it for you: Working hours : Mon to Fri (some weekend work available) - 6:00am – 2:30pm. $34.67 p/h (including casual loading) Temp to perm for the right candidate Job Duties: HC Driving (Tautliner trucks) – Collecting liquid waste from various sites and bringing back to site for processing - Drums, IBC’s, pallets ect (no vac truck operating required) Daily maintenance checks on vehicles and equipment Pre and post trip checks Operate equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations. Operate and monitor equipment to ensure waste is processed in line with defined procedures. Complete paperwork and records as required. Maintain and repair tools & equipment as needed. Ensure cleaning and site housekeeping is completed to maintain professional presentation of facility and meet EPA requirements. Required: Minimum of Unrestricted HC licence (or above), DG licence desired but not essential – Site will upskill to DG for the right candidate. Experience driving HC trucks or above (Tautliners) Recent Driver History Report – Within the last 3 months 100% commitment to safe driving and safe practices Customer service skills Mechanical aptitude an advantage Waste industry experience advantageous but not essential Must pass a full medical including Drug and alcohol screening If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply now.
