About the role McConnell Dowell Diona Joint Venture (MDJV) are seeking a motivated Estimatorto join our growing team based in Adelaide CBD. MDJV is one of three Major Framework Partners working together with our client to deliver a $1.6bn Capital Delivery Program to improve water and sewerage services for South Australians. The role of the Estimator is to ensure that accurate estimates of the total costs of allocated projects are completed on time and in accordance with the required technical standards. Key responsibilities of this role include: Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: Prepare cost estimates and technical proposals for tender submissions within the scope of appropriate drawings, specifications, quantities and cost data. Review tender documentation and derive a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements. Gain thorough understanding of local conditions for each output. About you To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes: Tertiary qualifications in construction management, civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, or a relevant trade background. Have established estimating experience in the construction industry with good analytical skills. Be proficient in planning, organising and working to timelines. Understanding of building codes, standards, and best practice methods - and be willing to learn more! Communication and independence abilities with the capability of enthusiastically engaging others.
