Based at Homebush West with on-site parking Access to various discounts on retail products  Permanent full-time position with career-development opportunities  This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Designer / Technical Lead to join the agency’s Digital department. You will lead a small team and be someone who is passionate about digital design. The Senior Digital Designer (Technical Lead) works within an in-house team of design and online specialists to create online media campaigns and marketing content across a variety of national and international websites and supporting channels. They will: Perform quality assurance, testing and troubleshooting of digital creative; Research and implement latest trends and best practice web and multimedia design; Develop the technical skills of the digital design team. Responsibilities: Design digital marketing creative across the following brands: Harvey Norman Australia, Domayne and Joyce Mayne. Manage personal workload Collaborate with other designers within the digital and print teams to ensure quality creative across all media channels Liaise with the Production Coordinators to ensure all campaigns are completed on time Publish campaign content using the web content management systems Interpret creative briefs from the Digital Creative Manager and business departments to develop innovative and exciting digital creative Develop skills and knowledge through self-education as well as proactive participation and initiation of internal training sessions Keep up to date with latest trends and best practice digital design including brand, usability, and web standards Assist with the smooth running of GP Advertising by doing other duties as required Technical Management: Responsibility for QA all on site campaigns from concept to completion Attend all digital briefs as required Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the digital campaigns Collaborate with the Digital Creative Lead to implement best practice and mentor digital designer’s technical capabilities Assist in-house teams including Marketing, Account Managers and Creative Strategy to ensure business objectives are executed seamlessly Collaborate with the Digital Delivery and User Experience team to develop best of breed onsite experiences, including code templates Assist in day-to-day technical execution and collaborate with the Digital Creative Lead to develop innovative and relevant creative experiences on-site Manage the team’s technical checks Leadership: Develop the designers’ skills through technical leadership as well as training initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with the Digital Delivery and UX team Collaborate with the Digital Creative Manger to manage and develop team members’ skill sets with ongoing projects and technical ownership. Push team to develop digital executions that would be deemed sufficient for industry acknowledgements Technical Requirements: Maintain excellent capabilities with Adobe Creative Cloud and other appropriate digital tools. Ensure GP Advertising is always using the latest programmes and tools for optimal digital creative production Solid capabilities with digital design, coding and technical constraints associated with digital marketing and websites Awareness of digital market trends and capabilities within digital advertising Advertising Compliance: Enforce appropriate compliance training with all direct reports when required or instructed Report all advertising compliance issues immediately to GM’s team, appropriate senior management team, compliance officer and appropriate merchants Undertake advertising planning and request activities in strict adherence with the Advertising Compliance Policy, Raincheck Policy and all issued procedures relating to the provision of advertised offers Complete relevant compliance training when instructed or required Key Skills: A solid understanding of the digital landscape Outstanding digital technical skills Highly creative with strong attention to detail Thorough understanding of the company’s ‘mobile-first’ digital strategy Proficiency with the Adobe Cloud Suite, including responsive design and digital ad-serving Solid working knowledge of XHTML, HTML5 for both onsite and external advertising, CSS3 and Javascript/Jquery (including standards such as W3C) Understanding of Flash, with video technologies (MRAID), banner creative and specifications.
