We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems. Our teams include Drivers/Operators, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT/Digital, Environment, Engineering, Industrial Chemists, Safety, Administration and much more . . . ABOUT THIS ROLE As a JJ’s Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Maintenance Mechanic, you will play an integral role within our workshop team in our Ballarat & Horsham depots. You will report to the Workshop Manager and will be conducting all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and fabrication. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. ABOUT YOU Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing Have a HR and forklift licence (preferred but not essential) Have a good mechanical aptitude  Demonstrate a professional and outcome focus Work well individually and as part of a team  Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry  Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service 3rd/4th year Heavy Vehicle Apprentice candidates also encouraged to apply!
