About the role We’re looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our team in Temora. Either permanently based in Temora, or in Wagga Wagga with flexibility to commute to Temora on a hybrid basis. The role will be responsible for assisting the team with day-to-day accounting, ensuring efficient and accurate recording and reporting whilst building strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong communication and numeracy skills. In this role you will undertake the following; Financial Accounting/Reporting - Month end activities such as general journal postings and intercompany eliminations for various divisions, corporate cost centres and related parties - Assist with accruals of income and expenses as required. - Assist with the review of the balance sheet and control account reconciliations ensuring that balances reported in the financial statements are complete and accurate - Assist with the preparation of management reports - Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as required Fixed Asset accounting - Fixed assets accounting and reporting ensuring accurate recording and control fulfilling internal and external requirements - Assist in preparing reports required to monitor and provide information on assets and capital expenditure. - Balance sheet reconciliations Lease Accounting - Assist with maintenance of lease schedules - Maintain register of lease agreements - Balance sheet reconciliations About You - Accounting degree or equivalent (preferably CA/CPA qualified or studying towards) - 2 or more years accounting experience using an integrated ERP system (ideally SAP) - Proficient in MS Office - Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Strong problem-solving skills - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Collaborative, mature and inclusive working style About us Altora Ag is the largest cropping producer in Australia with over 67 farms across four states.
