Our client is a government organisation who is looking for a scrum master who's primary purpose will be to lead cross-functional data & analytics squads to drive target - state data & analytics capabilities and objectives underpinning the government organisations strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of data and analytics solutions using Agile and lean methodologies, promoting consistency in delivery practices.
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams in conjunction with Product Owners to deliver prioritised features on time and to customer needs.
  • Champion, train and coach Agile methodologies and practices to stakeholders across the organisation to drive change, govern and play a leading role in Strategic Delivery initiatives.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement meetings, sprint demo's and sprint retrospectives.
  • Support, educate and coach Product Owners, with respect to grooming and maintaining a product and sprint backlogs.
  • Identify risks, issues, dependencies and impediments to delivery and either manage these or escalate for resolution to ensure successful delivery of backlog items.
  • Develop high performing and self-organised squads. Assist the squads with managing intrapersonal conflicts, challenges and opportunities for growth. Escalate people challenges when necessary.
  • Protect the squads from uncontrolled injection of work ensuring that new work is directed to the IMF Strategic Planning funnel for prioritisation
  • Engage with other organisational roles like change and release managers and technology business partners to deliver system changes and enhancements to the agreed standards, practices and techniques, undertaking the assessment and analysis of the change required, through to development and implementation, ensuring all required documentation is complete and usable for end users.

About you :

  • You hold significant experience in a similar role leading, coaching and directing stakeholders to change culture and behaviours), preferably focused in the data & analytics domain.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the Agile delivery methodologies including but not limited to; Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, Continuous Delivery and/or Rapid Application Development.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, resolve conflicts and translate technical information into business language.
  • Experience in organisational change, influencing and changing culture and work practices
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work accurately with attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate adoption and transition to agile methodology from traditional waterfall.
