This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our renowned dedication to safety, operational excellence, and innovative transport solutions.   About the Roles The Locomotive Driver and Driver Assistant positions are essential to our daily operations, ensuring that train services are delivered safely, punctually, and efficiently. Key responsibilities include: Operating locomotives and train systems in accordance with strict safety standards. Performing pre- and post-operation checks on locomotives and equipment, identifying and solving any issues with a proactive approach. Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to varied shifts and routes. Collaborating with a team to achieve optimum performance and safety standards. About You To be successful in these roles, you will possess the following skills and traits: Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and clear Leadership and integrity, inspiring trust and excellence within the team. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 operation environment. Physical fitness, ensuring the ability to meet the demands of the role, including manual handling and operating in varied weather conditions. Critical thinking for making informed decisions under pressure. Qualifications Essential qualifications for the role include: A recognised Certificate IV in train Driving or equivalent Experience in CoP Safeworking (this training is available through our Training Partner CERT Training) Successful completion of all pre-employment checks, including medicals and background checks.
