About the role Precinct Security Manager (Operations) role is responsible for the management and oversight of the core security teams to provide expertise and guidance, as well as the Service Providers used to facilitate this, across the Precinct. In addition, the role will support and provide coverage to the Precinct Security Manager (Access Systems & Infrastructure), to ensure a safe and secure Precinct and environment. The role will have a Precinct wide lens in both an event and non-event capacity and will play an integral role in the operational planning and delivery of each Australian Open (AO). Here are some of the game-changing things you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in: Integration with Venue Teams and Service Departments Works closely with Venue Teams and Service Departments to ensure security standards are as high as possible and consistently maintained. Ensures the Venues and Precinct are operating securely at the highest possible standard in event and non-event mode. Operational Management Effective management of core security service in event and non-event mode. Operational Management responsibility for the contracted Security Service Provider Promote safe and compliant practices by the Service Providers engaged to deliver the services Key liaison with Victoria Police, other law enforcement, Regulatory Bodies and Market Leaders Builds sustainable relationships with suppliers, business partners & respective agencies that assist the Precinct in delivering on its business objectives. Key liaison with Victoria Police and other law enforcement bodies What you will bring to the role: Demonstrated extensive experience in operations management in a large complex organisation. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of implications of regulatory, compliance and legal requirements applicable to entertainment, sporting, events and infrastructure. Demonstrated communication (written and verbal) skills, including communication at all levels. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Effective conflict management skills with the ability to demonstrate stakeholder empathy whilst ensuring service performance and outcome is not compromised. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate and comprehensive reports. Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to consult and facilitate positive outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
