About the Role Grampians Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (GMHWS) is committed to providing opportunities for early careers clinicians to consolidate and build on their theoretical and practical knowledge within a structured and supportive environment. We are searching for Occupational Therapists to join our new Allied Health Graduate Program. This exciting opportunity offers the following:  Two 12-month rotations across the mental health and wellbeing program  Support and guidance from Senior Occupational Therapists and Occupational Clinical Educator  8 hours protected learning each week, 10 professional development days, group and individual supervision. You will be supported to meet the OT competencies required to transition to permanent employment within the mental health field.   Assistance to transition into an ongoing role at Grampians Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.   Key Responsibilities  Active participation in the GMHWS Allied Health Graduate Program and additional training, education and professional knowledge and skills development programs.   Provide person led, occupational therapy assessments, interventions and continuous care with individuals, groups and/or family/carer   Routinely provide best practice assessment and recovery-oriented treatment provision and care  To actively and effectively work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to generic and discipline specific expertise of multidisciplinary team, including Lived and Living Experience Workforce  Maintain computer literacy skills to a level necessary to fulfil the function of the role.    Skills & Experience  Unrestricted registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA).      An approved Degree from a recognised school of Occupational Therapy or other qualifications approved for eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapy (Vic.).     Culture & Benefits   At Grampians Health, we recognise our staff are our greatest asset.  We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our staff, patients, residents, visitors, volunteers and contractors at all sites.  Engagement in the Allied Health Graduate Program and education opportunities run by Learning and Development Team  Be supported with specific Mental Health orientation and Occupational Violence and Aggression + Prevention training.   Competitive Salary and Salary Packaging options     Supportive working environment     Clinical supervision and opportunities for professional development   About Grampians Health  Grampians Health provides healthcare to a large region at our campuses based in Ballarat, Dimboola, Edenhope, Horsham and Stawell. Our mission is to deliver sustainable healthcare tailored to evolving community and workforce needs.
