Dog Groomer

Vanity Fur is seeking experienced Dog Groomers to join our team in Maroochydore. The ideal applicant will have:

• creative flair
• strong eye for detail and a perfectionist tendency - (near enough is not good enough for us)
• be well groomed and presented
• and be clean and tidy

Your responsibilities will include:

• greeting customers and their dogs
• ascertaining and confirming grooming requirements
• accurately setting customer expectations
• taking bookings via phone or in person in addition to our online booking system
• Bathing and clipping dogs to conform to a variety of breed-specific standard styles
• Detangling and removing matted hair
• Drying the coat
• Checking for parasites and other skin conditions
• Trimming nails
• Cleaning the ears
• Brushing teeth
• The groomer is also responsible for accommodating any special requests from the owner and informing owners of any health problems discovered during the grooming process.

Our salon is the Sunshine Coast's premier dog grooming salon. We pride ourselves in our high quality grooms, as well as our clean and beautifully presented environment. But most of all we pride ourselves in how we treat our clients dogs. We are an exclusive salon, with a cage free environment, placing the well being and health of the dogs in our care at the top of our priorities.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Types : Full-time, Part-time, Casual Part-time hours: 10-37 per week

Salary : $21.38 - $35.93 per hour

• Certificate I - IV (preferred)

Experience :

• Pet grooming: 1 year (preferred)
