The Opportunity The Banyans have an opportunity for a Dietician to join our multidisciplinary team in Brisbane for a 6 month Parental Leave Cover. The Banyans Health and Wellness is a unique residence providing a private service for discerning individuals seeking recovery solutions. In a serene environment, our patients rediscover health and wellness following experiences of stress, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance misuse, dependency, grief, trauma and eating disorders. As a Dietitian at The Banyans, your primary focus is on delivering exceptional nutrition / dietetic services, contributing significantly to guests' wellness and recovery. You'll conduct thorough nutritional assessments, implement tailored interventions, and document guest progress meticulously. Collaborating closely with the chef team, you'll ensure the provision of specialised dietary requirements. Serving as a key dietetic advisor, you'll liaise with nursing, medical, and allied health professionals, providing expert dietetic guidance as needed. The wide ranging duties of this position requires the person to be flexible; well organised; good at setting boundaries for themselves and others; willing to strive for excellence and passionate about helping people with health and wellness needs including recovery from addiction mental health and eating disorders. This role will mostly take place out of our Samford Valley Residences, but will also include providing excellent care for Guests at our Day Program facility in Bowen Hills. About You Our programs are residential based and the ideal person will possess the following: - 3-5 years experience in Dietetics and delivery of clinic and in patient services. - Bachelor of Science (Nutrition and Food Science) plus Post-graduate Dietetic degree or equivalent qualification. - Current membership with the Dietitians Association of Australia with Accredited Practising Dietitian status. - Demonstrated skills in caring for people in recovery. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, including skills in conflict resolution and negotiation. - Demonstrated problem-solving skills and an ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations - An understanding of addiction treatments and the aims and objectives of Sana Health Group - Sound knowledge of current legislation and privacy laws. - Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
