We are currently seeking a Deliver Driver Offsider for our Northern Beaches location.

Job Summary

The Delivery Driver is the professional customer service ‘face’ of H&G and operates vehicles (cars, vans, trucks) to collect and transport goods from one location to another. From time to time the role requires an element of working unsocial hours, including weekend work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport goods to and from a variety of locations, ensuring punctual delivery and optimal condition on arrival
  • Load and unload goods
  • Drive at all times in a legal and professional manner, keeping in mind the reputation of H&G
  • Provide professional customer service at all times
  • Provide helpful service to satisfy customer's delivery
  • Complete and check all loads and related paperwork correctly, ensuring procedures are followed as instructed
  • Ensure safe storage of loads and compliance with Chain of Responsibility obligations
  • Maintain security over loads from theft and damage
  • Maintain equipment in good working order, reporting any issues as needed
  • Report all damage or accidents to local manager or supervisor
  • Adhere to safe work practices
  • Co-operate with other departments in the preparation and delivery of orders
  • Follow all reasonable directions given by the teamlead, assistant manager, and adhere to company policies and procedures to your best ability
  • Undertake self-assessment on personal safety to adhere to assigned lifting requirements
  • Perform other related duties as required
