This service focuses on the EYLF to support the nurturing, growth and development of children which creates strong foundations for children’s lives, preparing them for school and adult life. The centre recognises the importance of natural play and has the environments to provide spontaneous, stimulating and challenging experiences for each child allowing them to develop their play and exploration. Strong focus on community involvement where all family backgrounds are embraced and relationships will be built based on mutual respect and open communication. Incorporates sustainable practices where gardening, recycling and open-ended resources are a part of everyday routines and curriculum. Ensure the smooth running of a room in a childcare centre. Responsible for the guidance and support of assistant educators, students and trainees. Create programming that utilises the EYLF and follows the NQS. Actively creating observations of children and accurately documenting. Liaise with parents through daily interaction by providing feedback on children's progression and milestones reached. ACECQA Approved Diploma Qualification (or working towards qualification) Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain one) Strong Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Strong Knowledge of the National Quality Standards (NQS) Permanent Resident or Citizen Effective communication skills Warm personality Desirable National Police Check (valid within the past 6 months) Any additional certificates, eg. First Aid / CPR As part of your role, you will be working with young children and those who are vulnerable. It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations.
