Disability Support Worker - Southern Suburbs

Our business requires experienced support workers to join the rosters of our valued clients living in the Southern suburbs. The hours available are varied across 7 days a week, mornings and afternoons with passives and active overnight duties. This is for you if you are a team player who is flexible and professional looking for a great opportunity to make a difference. Above Award wages apply. You will be responsible for providing quality, individualised and flexible support services to assist our clients to live independently. Your role will include : Supporting clients with personal care - hygiene, transfers, continence, grooming, etc. Assisting clients in skill development - cooking, shopping, domestic assistance etc Supporting clients to access the community - transport to and from appointments or shopping Encouraging and assisting clients in social and community participation/engagement Inspire and assist clients to work towards their goals and improve independence Why Join the McArthur team? Our Applicants will have: An engaging Person-centred approach to care Great communication and relationship building skills A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of people with a disability Proven experience in working with people living with a disability (6 months or more) Skills & Experience Required: Certificate III in Individual Support or similar or Diploma of Nursing/Bachelor of Nursing.
