The Role Reporting to the Senior Manager Waterways Biodiversity & Environment this role is accountable for leading the initiation, planning, and development of multi-partner projects and program collaborations to meet identified Port Phillip & Westernport Region Regional Catchment Strategy (RCS) priorities and funding opportunities. You will also lead the development of strategic thinking to identify how Melbourne Water’s new responsibilities and accountabilities as the regional catchment manager can be optimised. This is a 12 month Secondment/ Fixed Term contract. This will be achieved through: Lead the initiation, planning and development of multi-partner projects and program collaborations to meet identified Port Phillip & Westernport Region Regional Catchment Strategy priorities and funding opportunities Develop associated project planning and business cases related to new funding opportunities Report to external funding partners on the progress of projects and their deliverables Drive investment into Melbourne Water focused on unfunded priorities within the RCS Relationship management with key investment partners, including Australian and Victorian Government Initiate and pilot new directions and programs related to expanding Melbourne Water’s focus and opportunities in integrated catchment management Lead Melbourne Water’s strategic approaches in integrated catchment management as the regional catchment manager for the Port Phillip and Western Port region.  Your Skills and Experience Strong understanding of current best practice in integrated catchment management, including knowledge in biodiversity, coasts & marine, water and land management Highly developed skills and experience in working in partnership and collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated experience in translating high level strategy and policy into practical directions, guidance, projects and programs of work Demonstrated high level of financial and commercial acumen For more information, please see the attached Position Description:  Manager Catchment Collaborations Relationships (003).pdf Culture at Melbourne Water We take enormous pride in cultivating a culture that holistically benefits our team and the wider Melbourne community.
