Deep experience and capability with a genuine care about creating better lives for people along the way.  Be part of a team that thrives on rising to the challenge of transforming lives for good.  About the Project: The Lake Macdonald Dam is located in the Noosa hinterland and is part of the South East Queensland drinking water supply operated by Seqwater.  John Holland has been awarded the Contract to undertake the largest upgrade to the dam since its installation in 1965 as part of the Seqwater Dam Improvement Project. The upgrade will include but not be limited to: Pre-construction Approvals, Procurement and Site Establishment  Lake Lowering and Aquatic Salvage  Installation of Upstream Coffer Dam  Cofferdam, Spillway Demolition and Working Platform  Dam Construction  Reinstatement, Rehabilitation and Demobilisation  As construction of LMDIP (Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project) gets under way, John Holland is actively recruiting for a talented Contract Manager to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of this iconic Noosa hinterland project.  Responsibilities of the role include: Manage review and update the project specific suite of Subcontract documents  Undertake project procurement and implement the Subcontractor and Supplier Management Plan Ensure effective subcontract administration, in conjunction with operations personnel Assist with all Head Contract or upstream matters as required by the Commercial Manager Assist with the compilation and preparation of internal and external monthly financial and compliance reporting Assist operations staff with the compilation of information required for internal monthly forecast cost to complete  Lead maintain and use all company and project specific operational delivery platforms relevant to the role   Assist with training and development of core competencies in use of operational delivery platforms, procurement and contracts and raise the level of contractual knowledge and proficiency with stakeholders (i.e. engineering, supervision, etc.) Management and continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems. People management: Monitor staff and labour resourcing to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high-performance team within a positive employee relations environment. To be successful in this key role, you must have: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering, Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business or associated disciplines 5 -10 years’ of relevant procurement and contracts experience in the construction and engineering industry Contractual management of a variety of project values and complexities Negotiation of contractual terms, variations and progress claims Demonstrated application of Corporate Limits of Liabilities and contractual and commercial systems, processes and procedures Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM) As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives Your success is reflected in ours, so we're committed to being an employer of choice.
