Come and discover the opportunity to join our  Fielders Production team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a Machine Operator - (Brake Press, Turret Punch and Flashing Folder) at our Campbellfield facility in Victoria. Originating in Adelaide, Fielders now manufactures and markets steel building products across Australia. We redefine construction materials, blending innovation with architectural brilliance. Operating Monday to Friday, we have multiple opportunities available and offer the following shifts, along with quarterly bonuses for our full-time operators: Day – 7am to 3pm and Afternoon – 3pm to 11pm In this pivotal role, you will be supporting the business by being a reliable operator within Trade Team. Your role plays a vital part to our business as you will be cutting and shaping products into component parts and ensuring our products are delivered to our customers with quality and precision. Being in a key role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality of our products, you will likely have the following attributes: Machine Operation and Maintenance: Proficient in setting up and operating the brake press (Bystronics Bybend Smart 160/3100) and turret punch press. Interpretation of Technical Drawings: Ability to interpret engineering drawings accurately to ensure press operations are carried out according to specifications. Tooling Management: Identifying and matching the right tools for each job sheets, swapping top and bottom tools as per job requirements and maintaining tools in optimal condition. Product Inspection and Packaging: Conduct quality assurance inspections on finished products and ensure efficient picking and packing processes. Collaboration and Teamwork: Engage, contribute, and communicate openly with team members. Embrace diversity and foster a cohesive, productive environment.
