Mercy Community has an opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to work alongside our HR Business Partner in supporting the Aged Care team with human resource matters. This includes the provision of administration and maintenance of HR Systems and process across the employment lifecycle. This role is offered on a 6 Month Fixed-Term contract.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with maintaining HR systems including HRIS and CRM.
  • Providing assistance with HR record maintenance, development of contract and contract changes, orientation processes, cessations, and visa management.
  • Assisting with recruitment activities to the service stream in consultation with Talent Acquisition, HR Officer and HRBP.
  • Supporting and guiding managers to undertake consistent performance management processes to promote a high-performance culture and manage underperformance.
  • Supporting management and employees in the interpretation of and adherence to applicable industrial instruments, policies, procedures and processes, and best practice.

About You

To be successful in the role you will hold tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field, with previous experience in a generalist HR role. You will have strong HR administrative skills in preparing contracts and reviewing HR documentation. Your generalist experience includes interpretation of legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements together with policies and procedures. This role will suit someone who can develop trusted and influential relationships with managers and employees.

You will have strong communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills to provide sound advice to leaders and employees. Your ability to deal with competing priorities, and work autonomously will be key to your success.
