Primary Location NSW - Rockdale Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity has become available for an Asset inspector to join our ConnectSydney team. About the Role ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, is delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. The Asset Inspector will be responsible for data collection from asset inspections, preparation of condition assessments and timely data input into the Asset Management System. The Asset Inspector will be the asset steward and is expected to champion the needs of the assets. Key Responsibilities Responsible for inspecting, assessing and reporting on the status and condition of ConnectSydney’s civil assets. Raise maintenance work orders within ConnectSydney asset management system. Assist Supervisors in scoping and prioritising maintenance works in accordance with the standards and risk management processes. Compliance with all contract requirements in regard to scheduled inspections. Contribute to the development and improvement of inspection and maintenance plans. Assist in business development activities as required. Promote a strong commitment to a quality culture, implementing standards of excellence and a continuous improvement business focus. Ensure all required management systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner. Required to travel within the region and work outside normal working hours including weekends. About You Experience in the maintenance or construction of civil or related assets. Certificate IV in Civil Construction is desirable. Demonstrated ability to interpret and quantify asset data from construction drawings and plans. Demonstrated written communication skills including, spreadsheet and word processing abilities allowing for the preparation of correspondence and assessments. Demonstrated experience in the inspection and condition assessment of civil assets. Demonstrated experience in TfNSW inspection and condition assessment process for slopes and/or culverts is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member without supervision and ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability in maintaining databases, geographical information systems, asset management systems are desirable. Demonstrated knowledge and application of Asset Management principles, and systems is desirable.
