Service Technician Division/Company/Entity: Record Australia Job Title: Service Technician Location: Epping Victoria Department: AAES RAU Reports to: RAU Service Manager VIC Does this job have supervisory responsibilities: No Status: Full Time/Part Time: Full Time 38 hours per week Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Span of hours from 6:00am to 6:00pm Work Flexibility required to work after hours including weekends or holidays where required. General Summary: As a Service Technician you are responsible for the delivery of various service and maintenance offerings of AAES RAU. This includes installation, repair, emergency breakdown and other maintenance services required by AAES RAU customers within our product range. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Install, repair and maintain the RAU doors product range Service to comply with Australian standards AS5OO7 Complete paperwork/documents as per quality and timeliness standard Liaise with customers in relation to repairs and installation Liaise with Service Coordinators or Planners on any issues that may arise from sites and other services in a timely manner Work flexibly, including call-outs or overtime as required Comply with Company and site inductions/checks (drug, alcohol, police, working with children, flu shots/vaccines and other required checks) and other WHS requirements at all times Maintain work tools in compliance with policies at all times (Motor Vehicle, Tools of Trade, Phone, Tablet, etc.) Coordinate requirements on parts and stocks with Service Coordinators? Use as instructed, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safe Working Methods (SWMS) that have been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role Attend and participate in all Toolbox meetings, required training, audits and other programs as required Report all safety incidents, hazards and risks as they arise Comply with AAES Values and Behaviours, Policies and other requirements at all times Other tasks that may be required from time to time. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Technician Experience preferably in the building materials, service and/or installation industry Knowledge of maintenance processes Geographic knowledge of city/state Technical understanding of automatic sliding, swing and revolving doors and associated equipment Technical understanding of Roller Shutters, Rapid Roll Doors, Seciontal Doors and Docking Equipment. Qualified licenced electrician or fitter and turner and controls experience preferable EWP (Scissor Lift) and Forklift License preferable Must have current drivers licence and must maintain license Must be able to work flexibly (overtime, out of hours, including weekends). Special Competencies Required: Able to take orders and instructions and execute on time Organise and coordinate paperwork and reports Fit and healthy, able to travel, no fear of heights High regard for WHS policies and practices Professional and friendly Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]: First time fix rate and technician efficiency Resolution/escalation of customer issues General presentation – clean car, tools, uniform Punctuality and reliability Product knowledge Accurate completion of paperwork/reporting requirements Compliance to all relevant policies and procedures including Safety. As this role provides automatic doors’ service and maintenance, access to clients premises and customers’ facilities may require you to wear appropriate PPE, tools, site induction and training.
