Assistant Warehouse Manager

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will manage and control the Warehousing and Delivery operations for the Site. This involves the efficient and safe warehousing and transportation of packaging, raw materials and finished goods, including Kerry-managed / 3PL operations and will require you to liaise with internal Kerry teams such as Customer Service, Quality Control, Procurement and Manufacturing. Work Location : Lytton - Brisbane Reporting to : Supply Chain Manager - Logistics Key responsibilities Oversee and control of all aspects related to the receiving of Goods including, but not limited to: Receiving reports & management of timeslots Receiving & inspection of inwards goods Receiving and allocating of all items into the storage locations of the Warehouse (production and raw materials) Manage stocktaking process for raw materials & finished goods, including cycle counting Supervise the finished goods distribution planning process Participate in S&OP meetings as required Implement Supply Chain strategies & policies as required HACCP, Hazardous substances & Dangerous Goods control GMP Management, and Waste management Reporting – Pest Control, Put-away and Pick reporting Review warehouse schedule (balancing of incoming and outgoing) Review & follow up implementation of SOPs in the warehouse Oversee, manage & train a team of warehouse and transportation personnel, and monitor 3PL suppliers (service quality, audit result / findings) Review slow moving inventory with Supply Chain team HSE Responsibilities Takes lead during incident investigation in respective area • Processing safety incident reports within the required time frame when observing hazards or reporting incidents and completing actions in a timely manner. • Monitor HSE performance of their respective areas Manage the Labour Hire Requirements for the Warehouse Team Qualifications and skills 10 years of Warehousing Experience, with 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in Raw Materials & Finished Goods essential, with knowledge of HSE Prior experience of working in a Food Manufacturing environment along with an understanding of HACCP and GMP will be a strong advantage Experience using SAP (desirable) Excellent communication and people management skills are a must Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Must be able to multi-task in a environment with changing priorities Beware of scams online or from individuals claiming to represent us.
