Mix, match or blend – the choice is yours. The style is yours. The style is you. About the Role: We have an exciting role available to support our buying team as an Assistant Buyer . In this role, you will play a crucial supportive role in assisting the Buyer, while also taking on key administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our buying process. The role and responsibilities will include: Collaborate closely with the Buyer to provide essential support in executing product strategies for the brand portfolio, under the Buyer's guidance. Assist the Buyer in coordinating merchandise selections, including marketing, budgeting, price architecture, and exploring opportunities with new suppliers. Take ownership of various administrative duties related to the buying process, ensuring accuracy and organization in all tasks. Support the Buyer in sourcing new products and suppliers, actively seeking out options that align with the portfolio's objectives. Conduct research to stay informed about current market trends relevant to your assigned portfolio. Work closely with the Marketing team to contribute to the development of promotional plans that align with key brand stories and campaigns. Maintain open lines of communication with the retail team to keep them informed about relevant department issues. Assist in managing and organizing crucial documentation related to your portfolio. Generate reports as needed to provide insights and updates on the progress of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you will have the following: Prior experience in a support role within a Buying Office or a similar capacity. A basic understanding of relevant department functions is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle various administrative tasks. Eagerness to learn about trade marketing and negotiation skills. A passion for fashion and lifestyle products. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong customer focus with a professional approach Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders Ability to handle working in a diverse and dynamic environment Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills Affiliation with Accent Group Core values and “ Make It Happen ” attitude.
