Find a career that matters and lasts   As a Cultural Heritage Officer, you’ll help find clever solutions to interesting problems as you grow your skills every day. And you’ll do it with down-to-earth people who you’re proud to work with and get to know.  Working closely with First Nations stakeholders across Queensland, your role will include:   Conducting and facilitating cultural heritage assessments, inspections and surveys as agreed under Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements. Ongoing engagement and consultation with Traditional Owners, Technical Advisors and property holders Implementing agreed actions under cultural heritage agreements including site identification Working in close collaboration with Traditional Owners and construction personnel, you’ll prepare for construction activities to ensure significant areas are actively protected You’ll ensure continual improvement to our processes, training and project documentation. The community you will join   Reporting into the Cultural Heritage Team Leader, the position will implement agreed cultural heritage management measures to ensure that Powerlink’s activities during the construction, maintenance and refurbishment programme adheres to processes under Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements (CHMPs & CHMAs).  Your expertise   Degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent relevant experience in archaeology, anthropology, cultural heritage management or other relevant discipline   What you’ll bring:   Experience in collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners, their advisors and representatives  Strong interpersonal, report writing and research skills,  A clear interest in other people and cultures.  Be the start of every possibility To kick start your career at Powerlink, apply by clicking the button above, attaching your resume and cover letter on our careers page before midnight on the 5th of May  2024.
