Full time role Great Employee Benefits Genuine career and progression pathway opportunities Salary is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on skills and experience Located at Canning Vale, WA About the Role: The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to manage and control plant and equipment maintenance using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (MEX).  The incumbent will help develop the interfaces between the CMMS and diagnostic and monitoring systems such as Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).  The Maintenance Planner will identify and write PM (preventative maintenance) programs, review and enter work orders into computer the system in order to automate the scheduling process, coordinate and manage the maintenance schedules and provide scheduling, estimating, tracking and cost information for the PM systems.   To be considered for this position you MUST: This position requires considerable maintenance experience in the disciplines of mechanical and electrical engineering. Relevant tertiary level qualification. Advanced PC skills in Microsoft office suite, in particular databases, excel and word. Experienced person familiar with maintenance and development of CMMS/ RCM, documentation and specifications. Knowledge of manufacturing/ production processes (industry experience preferred). Experience of project planning and scheduling. Problem Solving – Developing alternative courses of action based on facts whilst taking into consideration resources, constraints and organisational values. Minimum two years experience. PRIMARY ACCOUNATBILITIES   Liaises with the Maintenance Manager to analyse, develop and implement programs for: Work Management – Optimisation of day-to-day operations, manage corrective work orders and support Capral’s preventative maintenance program. Physical Asset Management – Provide quick and easy retrieval of important information such as planned and unplanned work history and status, assets accounting information, warranty and service contracts, nameplate data, scanned documents and libraries of CAD drawings Resource Management – Support a full inventory and purchasing system of spares used and track maintenance personnel labour and contracted costs. Develop system database to reflect requirements of the department, design and implement user screens. Ensure compliance with the relevant safety regulations and procedures. Works closely with the maintenance team to assure development of a world-class maintenance organisation through managing the use of automated systems to provide scheduling, estimating, tracking and cost information for the PM system. Involved with project on interfaces between CMMS and diagnostic and monitoring systems (RCM) to establish library of possible problems, problem diagnostic techniques and repair recommendations, uses RCM processes to determine the maintenance requirements. Works alongside and builds working relationships with maintenance personnel and production operators to solve scheduling problems. Identifies maintenance and technical problems and areas which may be improved and consults with the Maintenance Manager and Production Manager in order to improve the functioning of equipment in the plant. Produce PM and repair work orders in a timely manner. Provide extensive management reports that include detailed/ summary reports and graphical reports for equipment asset history and PM data. Liaise with external consultants and suppliers to ensure appropriate maintenance and upgrades of the CMMS system. Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E) Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives. Other key accountabilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the manager of the role. Stay up to date on latest maintenance technologist and best practices. DESIRABLE MEX experience Trades papers (Mechanical or Electrical). Extrusion and powder coating technology knowledge. Experience within a similar sized manufacturing facility. Experience of project lifecycle (justification to implementation to full commissioning, hand over, sign off).
