As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Applications Technician to join our team in Melbourne (Dandenong), Australia. As an Applications Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Performance Materials business unit, specifically within the Agrisolutions segment. You will be responsible for conducting agrochemical development and technical service activities that align with our business strategy. Additionally, you will manage sample handling and dispatch to support our distribution business. General Responsibilities Perform laboratory and physical assessments to determine the tank-mix compatibility of our adjuvant range Conduct experiments with soil and soil adjuvants in our on-site Soil Science laboratory, including biological measurements and time-lapse photography Participate in occasional field or glass-house trials Ensure safe and efficient sourcing, storage, and disposal of agro/chemicals Provide troubleshooting support for our existing product range Maintain clear records of all investigations to support the Innovation team Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of lab-sized samples for our distribution business Oversee the handling and packing of samples, including coordination with courier services Set an example of best-practice management in Quality, Technical Support, and Marketing Support Functional Skills and Knowledge Degree in chemistry or agricultural science (preferred) Experience working in a research, development, or QC laboratory Knowledge of safe laboratory practices, including chemical handling Project management skills with the ability to track and deliver on tasks Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience in agriculture or conducting crop production experiments (preferred) This is a hands-on role with some level of physical work, moving and packing samples.
