About the position... Based at the School Campus in Shailer Park, the Employment Pathways Officer, you will be required to support The BUSY Schools students with connections to industry that lead to placements and employment. By providing a personalised case management approach to advising students on career choices/pathways and actively progressing them through the relevant opportunities for training and employment.  You will also establish and manage a work experience program for students, including the sourcing of opportunities, preparing students, monitoring students while on placement and all related records.  BUSY Benefits: Competitive, above award salary; Circa $71k + 12.5% super + car Paid Parental Leave program 13 weeks long service leave 12.5% superannuation NFP Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 per year) PLUS meal and entertainment card! About The BUSY Schools… The BUSY Schools are part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation presenting over 45 years as a community partner providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, and allied health services. The BUSY Schools are independent Special Assistance Schools with 7 campuses across Cairns, Brisbane, and Gold Coast/Coolangatta, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. Each campus provides a supportive and safe learning environment for young people by providing them with an education program that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team support the students to gain employability and transferability skills to increases their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration and employment outcomes. Our teams’ focus is centred at re-engaging our students to learn, remain eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and gain employment or further training outcomes upon student’s graduation from Year 12. About you... Proven ability to develop cooperative working relationships with broad range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure outcomes for students are achieved Extensive knowledge and experience in working with vocational education pathways, in particular the Australian School Based Apprenticeship program Excellent communicator, a promoter who is influential with the ability to seek and secure opportunities Next steps...
