About the role We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Supervise a small laboratory with two other medical scientists in a multi-disciplinary setting (Biochemistry, Haematology/Coagulation/Blood Bank) This role is hands on, and you will be required to perform some laboratory work as part of your duties. Prioritise work- flow to meet client’s requirements Ensure results are released within agreed turnaround times Liaise with senior staff and Pathologists regarding unusual and abnormal results Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained in optimal condition and working order, all scheduled routine maintenance is performed, and any unscheduled maintenance is performed as required Review and update all laboratory documentation as required About you To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including: Tertiary Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent Must hold AIMS accreditation At least 3 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary environment Strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful partnerships Experience in working under tight deadlines to meet day to day targets, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks within set timeline Results orientated and a proactive and effective problem solver Proven skills in defining, prioritising, and organising competing tasks to meet deadlines Ability to always demonstrate the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity -Employee benefits and wellbeing Access to a marketplace of exclusive discounts and vouchers from leading Australian and online retailers.
