Seeking an enthusiastic International Baccalaureate Presiding Officer Work with a team committed to creating an efficient exam process Unique position with good work-life balance About the Role Canberra Grammar School is seeking applications for the position of International Baccalaureate (IB) Presiding Officer. This position will liaise with the Assistant Director of Academic Education (IBDP coordinator) and will be responsible for ensuring that the examinations are conducted efficiently and in keeping with the relevant IB and school policies and procedures. The Presiding Officer manages a large group of Supervisors and coordinates rosters for the examination period. The Presiding Officer will ensure the examinations are conducted in accordance with IB guidelines.   The Presiding Officer will need to be available to supervise the school’s internal IBDP Trial Examinations as well as the official external IBDP Exams. Terms and Conditions A person who has a child or near relative sitting the Higher School Certificate or IB Examinations cannot be appointed as Presiding Officer Clerical staff, casual, relief, part-time or permanent teachers employed at Canberra Grammar School cannot be appointed as Presiding Officer All exam supervisors are required to have a Working with Vulnerable People card (WWVP) The Presiding Officer will need to be available to supervise the school’s internal IB Trial Examinations in August as well as the official external IB Exams from mid-October to November. About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following: The ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff and lead others The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery, and change management Administrative and organisational skills Excellent written English and effective interpersonal communication skills Some technological literacy across a range of applications All team members at CGS are required to have: Appropriate qualifications A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card A current National Police Check; and Full working rights within Australia.
