The Role ECU is seeking a Project Lead to work closely with the ECUs internal stakeholders to plan and deliver the Student Experience initiatives within the City Campus Operations program.

The Project Lead is responsible for the overall planning and day to day management of projects including initial scoping, implementation, change planning, resource and financial planning, and management and coordination of projects, their interdependencies, and any identified stream.

The role will work closely with the City Campus program team, and act as the liaison between the Executive Sponsors and other functional support areas at the University.

Qualifications : Qualifications in program or project management and extensive relevant experience, OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.

Experience : Demonstrated experience in project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion, including experience managing and leading a team with familiarity with one or more project/program management methodologies (such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile)

A background in higher education with demonstrated experience in planning and managing business change within this context

Demonstrated highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills

Knowledge and expertise in service design that positively impacts the student experience

Customer Focus : Focusing on all aspects of customer service to achieve quality outcomes for all parties including internal and external customers at all levels. Involves identifying customers' needs and value, managing customer relationships, marketing services to customers and continually evaluating and improving customer service.

Networking : Ability to build and maintain social and business processes and interactions, across a wide range and on all levels, through which individuals and ECU develop lasting relationships with particular sets of stakeholders for the purposes of accessing support and facilitating exchange for mutual benefit.

Collaboration : Collaborate with other work units within ECU as internal customers and treated with quality customer service as would external customers. Marketing products, services and outcomes of the work unit to those within the internal environment.

Influencing and Networking : Ability to influence the decisions, actions or perceptions of others and to be straight forward and honest when doing so. To create networks which foster a complementary mix of knowledge, skills and abilities, in order to achieve goals and to add mutual benefit and value to ECU.

Problem Solving and Decision Making : Ability to investigate, identify and analyse key issues and the associated alternative, benefits and costs to develop practical solutions. Involves being creative and innovative when developing effective solutions and the ability to manage related risks. Also, an understanding of when a decision needs to be escalated to others and working to try to identify and address potential problems before they arise.

Benefits & Remuneration This full time, fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $122,934 to $128,562 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
