  • As the Wholesale Warehouse Manager you will hold responsibility for the establishment and operational management of the UH60M material and distribution facilities such as staff recruitment, personnel management and training required to meet the CoA requirements. There is also the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure robust inventory management to support UH60 operations.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Manage and implement Supply Support activities across the distribution facilities

  • Support the Supply Support Manager in Warehouse management activities in order to ensure that contractual deliverables are achieved

  • Be the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholder engagement

  • Drive the execution and continuous improvement of the logistics support solution

  • Build and manage relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives

  • Establish and foster a strong working relationship with all Program staff and stakeholders

  • Deliver and operate a warehouse that can support UH60M support tasks

  • Lead and mentor Supply Support staff in the execution of their duties

  • Coordinate LMA or Customer owned items using Inventory Management Systems including CoA systems

About you :

  • You will have significant Warehouse Management experience within a defence environment, and be highly communicative with a proven track record of successfully leading high performing teams. Ideally you will also hold qualifications in Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution or another relevant discipline. To be successful in this role you will also have :

  • Extensive experience in Defence or similar logistics areas including inventory control, asset management, supply chain and procurement

  • Significant experience working in an aviation support and distribution environment

  • Extensive ability to adapt and maintain a flexible approach to changing needs and priorities

  • Substantial ability to pre-empt problems and create opportunities for improvement

  • Extensive experience in warehouse operations including fit out and materials management goods receipt, storage/ handling, and distribution of equipment

  • Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Asset Management

  • Comprehensive Commonwealth Procurement and Inventory Management experience

Experience with MILIS Item Management, S4 Hanna or similar SAP experience is also highly desirable.

Special Requirements :

  • Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
  • The location of the role will be in Holsworthy, NSW.
