Psychologist Gender Service: Excellent employee benefits including salary packaging Challenging and rewarding work environment Friendly and supportive team environment Part time, fixed term (0.2EFT until June 2025)  weekly outpatient clinic Required weekly workdays: Thursday  Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with Orygen Youth Health, Transgender Victoria & Transcend Australia About the Role: This is a part time fixed term position at 15.2 hours a per fortnight within the Department of Adolescent Medicine, Gender Service. The position is funded until June 2025, the successful applicant take a weekly outpatient clinic and be required to work on Thursday to fit in with room allocations. You will be responsible for providing high quality evidence based assessment treatment and support to children & young people referred to the Gender Service, and their families, participate in the clinical evaluation and research activities of the RCH Gender Service, contribute to team meetings and activities related to service planning, development and improvement and contribute to development of community-based services for trans and gender diverse children and adolescents, including provision of Education.  Classification for this position will range from Psychologist Year 2 (PK1-PK4)  What you’ll achieve: informed psychological practice to patients referred to the Gender Service with gender concerns, gender non-conforming behaviour and gender dysphoria in at tertiary setting,  by providing expert clinical and psychological assessment, clinical formulation, and diagnosis. Provide specialised therapeutic services, family work and psychoeducation as required Maintain accurate, up to date and timely patient records that accurately reflect clinical consultations and decisions including diagnosis, treatment plans, complications, co-morbidities and reports. Contribute to service improvements across the range of activities of the Gender Service including the research and evaluation programme conducted in collaboration with the Gender Service research group. Participate in peer supervision and clinical supervision. Your skills and experience: Hold a minimum Master of Psychology degree qualification from an accredited course/university Be registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) Continuously satisfy the PsyBA continuing professional development standards Uphold the PsyBA Code of Ethics About the Department: The RCH Gender Service is a Victorian state-wide service providing multidisciplinary care for trans and gender diverse (TGD) children and adolescents up to 16 years of age. The assessment, treatment and support provided by the Gender Service is consistent with the Australian Standards of Care and Treatment Guidelines for trans and gender diverse children and adolescents (v1.4 2023).
