ABOUT THE ROLE As an Injection Moulding Technician, you will play a pivotal role in their Manufacturing Department, contributing to the production of high-quality articles such as bins, bodies, lids, and other parts. Your responsibilities will include setting up, operating, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines, supervising assembly activities, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. SHIFT PATTERN 2 Days, 2 Afternoons, 2 Nights with 4 days off in a rolling shift pattern example: Monday - Day Tuesday - Day Wednesday - Afternoon Thursday - Afternoon Friday - Night Saturday - Night Sunday - Off Monday - Off Tuesday - Off Wednesday - Off DUTIES Set up, operate, and troubleshoot injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment. Supervise and coordinate assembly activities of workers. Execute maintenance and quality inspection tasks as directed. Participate in safety and environmental activities, incident reporting, and problem-solving. Deliver to schedule and ensure product/service quality. Recommend actions to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Maintain records, documents, and data according to procedures. Participate in meetings and maintain good housekeeping standards. Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Interpret specifications and assign duties to operators accordingly. Initiate and verify setup of equipment, cooperate with maintenance teams. Perform maintenance on production equipment and attend to alarms or breakdowns. Maintain time and production records. Participate in shift changeovers and planning activities. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Certificate III in Process Manufacturing or relevant trade qualification like fitter or toolmaker desired. Forklift license and first aid certificate.
